Gardens drawn with care, then built to the line.

Sitescapes Landscape Design is a landscape architecture practice in Stony Brook. The same studio that draws the plan sees it through construction, for homes along the North Shore.

The practice01

One studio, from the first sketch to the last stone.

Sitescapes is listed as a landscape architect offering both landscape design and construction. That pairing matters. The people who understand why a path bends are the ones who make sure it does.

i.

Landscape design

Every plan starts with how the property already works: where the light falls, how water moves, which trees are worth keeping and how the family actually uses the yard. From there, the drawing sets out rooms, routes and planting so the garden reads as one composition rather than a collection of features.

  • Site study light, grade, existing trees
  • Master plan layout and circulation
  • Planting design a palette for the setting
ii.

Landscape construction

The plan is only as good as its installation. Construction carries the drawing into the ground: grading, hardscape, planting and the finishing details that decide whether a garden looks considered or merely completed. Keeping design and build together means fewer handoffs and fewer surprises.

  • Hardscape terraces, walks, walls
  • Planting installed to the plan
  • First-season care to discuss with the studio

Five steps, one drawing.

Step through a typical project. The plan on the right gains a layer at each stage, the way a real drawing set builds up.

Drone aerial photos and video

Show the whole composition from above.

A finished garden is designed in plan, so it reads best from the air. Aerial photos and a short flyover video let visitors see a project the way the studio drew it.

Sample feature. The aerial view above is a simulated camera moving over an illustrated plan. It is not drone footage and not a Sitescapes project. Real flights would follow local rules and the homeowner's permission.
